Quest LabsUser Guide

Getting Started

Welcome to Quest Labs! Follow these steps to get started with GPU cloud computing.

1

Create an Account

Click the Start Free button in the top navigation. Fill in your email and create a password. You'll receive a verification code via email.
2

Complete Verification

Enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your email. Once verified, you'll be redirected to your dashboard.
3

Add Credits

Navigate to Billing in the sidebar. Choose a credit package and complete payment. Credits are used to pay for GPU runtime.
Tip: New accounts start with a small amount of free credits to test the platform.

Create Template

Templates define your GPU workload configuration. Once created and approved, you can launch instances from them.

1

Navigate to Templates

Click Templates in the sidebar, then click New Template.
2

Fill in Template Details

  • Name: A descriptive name for your template
  • Docker Image: The container image to use (e.g., pytorch/pytorch:latest)
  • Startup Script: Commands to run when the instance starts
  • GPU Type: Select from available GPUs (RTX 4090, RTX 5090, etc.)
  • Disk Size: Storage space needed (20GB free, up to 200GB)
3

Submit for Review

Click Submit Template. Our team will review it within minutes. You'll see the status change from "Pending" to "Approved".
Important: Templates must be approved before you can launch instances. Most templates are approved within 5-10 minutes.

Launch Instance

Once your template is approved, you can launch instances from it.

1

Select Template

Go to Templates and find your approved template. Click on it to open the template details page.
2

Launch Instance

Click the Launch Instance button. The system will provision a GPU and start your container.
3

Monitor Status

Watch the instance status change from "Creating" to "Running". This typically takes 10-30 seconds depending on GPU availability.
Billing: You are charged per hour while the instance is running. Billing stops when you stop or terminate the instance.

Manage Instances

Monitor and control your running instances from the dashboard.

View Instance Status

The Dashboard shows all your instances with their current status, GPU type, uptime, and cost. Click on any instance to see detailed information.

View Logs

Click Logs in the sidebar to view container output from your instances. You can filter by instance and time range.

Stop vs Terminate

Stop: Pauses billing but preserves your data. You can restart later.
Terminate: Permanently deletes the instance and all data. This cannot be undone.
Remember: Always stop or terminate instances when you're done to avoid unexpected charges.

Billing & Credits

Quest Labs uses a prepaid credit system. Add credits to your account and they're consumed as you use GPU resources.

Credit Packages

Choose from various credit packages in the Billing section. Larger packages offer better value per credit.

GPU Pricing

GPU pricing varies based on model and availability. Visit the Pricing page for current hourly rates across all GPU types.

Usage History

View detailed usage history and transaction records in the Billing section. Download invoices for your records.

Account Settings

Manage your account preferences and security settings.

Profile Settings

Update your display name and contact information in the Settings page.

Change Password

For security, we recommend changing your password regularly. Go to Settings → Security to update your password.

Notifications

Configure email notifications for instance status changes, low credit warnings, and important announcements.
